Greg is the principal consultant and chief catalyst of Woodfield Consulting based near Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He focuses on strategic enterprise approaches that exploit the powers of information in GIS, BI, CRM and other disciplines of I&T. He is an accomplished advisor, writer and speaker on programs, projects and people where infrastructure, technology and processes meet to serve the public.
He specializes in IT governance matters and strategic planning based on integrated enterprise approaches to business cases and business planning. His speaking engagements, seminars and publications continue to delve into new business case approaches and to researching how IT serves the broader enterprise. He is a consultant and coach to senior management as well as to those responsible for writing compelling business cases and plans.
Greg has over 20 years of success and increasing responsibilities in the IT, GeoSpatial IT and GeoDemographics sectors. Greg holds an Executive MBA (9T1) from the University of Toronto and a BA (Economics) from UofT.
Greg has published many articles and given a number of presentations and workshops on IT governance matters, the role of GIS in IT, Marketing with GIS, data base marketing and the data side of One to One relationships at various conferences across North America.
He has served as an international board member of the US based GITA (Geospatial Information and Technology Association) and continues as an active supporter of industry associations and other professional groups. He is active in the local chapter of URISA (Urban and Regional Information Systems Association) and MISA (Municipal Information Systems Association). He is a past member of NENA (National Emergency Number Association).
